ABIGAIL SIMON & MARINA ZURKOW
ABOUT:
Abigail Simon and Marina Zurkow’s collective and individual works have been extensively exhibited on platforms like MTV, Channel 4, and in cultural institutions including the Museum of the City of New York, the International Center of Photography, and MoMA. Abigail Simon maintains an experimental curatorial practice challenging conventional hierarchies of display and worthiness, and questioning the institution’s role in defining value by situating art in unexpected contexts. Marina Zurkow’s visionary animated works are currently on view at the Whitney Museum of American Art.
THE ICEBERG is a bold, participatory experiment in empathy and imaginative world-building. Part psychoprojection, part tarot for systems thinkers, THE ICEBERG invites participants to explore the unseen currents and connections that shape our world, with a focus on climate change. Emerging from the decades-long creative dialogue between acclaimed media artists Abigail Simon and Marina Zurkow, THE ICEBERG reimagines the intersections of art, science, economics, media capitalism, perception, and collective imagination.
